OneNote won't import/insert an xls object?

interesting that OneNote can't (won't) allow for an xls object to be inserted
when there are so many other programs (PIMs) that do...

wouldn't that be NICE???

maybe i'm missing something...?

You can embed a whole Excel file, link an Excel file, print it to
OneNote, copy & paste the spreadsheet data as table.
OneNote doesn't support OLE, so you can't just embed an XLS Object, or
any other object for that matter.

where do i look to "embed" something like this? i've looked throughout...

if i embed an Excel file, can i continue to operate the file as an Excel
file within ON, or is that what OLE means...?

if not, wouldn't that have been a neato idea since so many other "cheap"
PIMs handle OLE quite nicely...
