I'm guessing you're copying a worksheet from another workbook that had named ranges in it. FWIW, it does this in 2003 as well.
I don't have 2007 handy, but I believe on the View tab, you can use the name manager (it's in the middle of the ribbon) to view the named ranges in the workbook. -- HTH, Barb Reinhardt
