error 1603 - tring to install BCM
Bohd 11/14/2008 7:23:01 PM
I am tring to install BCM 2007. it sets up SQL first and then it shuts down
the BCM install. At the end of the long error log it says it is a 1603 error.
Any suggestions would be helpful

1603 is the general MSI error. Usually it means a file is missing. Are
you installing off the CD?

Bohd,
I 'Google' error codes to find out what they mean.
In this case, one site suggests that you are installing to a substituted
drive and Microsoft, at the following URL, gives a lot of informatin about
configurations which won't work.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923100#Configurations

Whilst this information may give a clue, I have found it risky to assume
that the corrrect problem/ solution is being identified for you - there
always seems to be more than one answer.
