MS Update for BCM Error in SQL Server 2005 Express Edition SP2: 0x
Wolf 4/13/2007 9:54:02 AM
Hi folks!

Microsoft Update tried to install the following: "Microsoft SQL Server 2005
Express Edition Service Pack 2 (KB 921896)", but did not succeed. It returned
the result

Installation Failure
Error Code: 0x1400

[SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 2, Error Code: 0x1400]

Unfortunately via "Review your update history" I can't make another try to
install it.

SQL Server Desktop engine is being used by "Business Contact Manager" for
Outlook 2007.

Anybody any idea?

Thanks a lot from Berlin,
Wolf :-)

You need to close the Outlook with Business Contact Manager application. And
wait for couple of minutes. Then you can run Microsoft Updates.

Hello Fatih,

thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately even after rebooting the machine I don't get the chance to
restart the Update:

No high-priority updates for your computer are available. To select other
updates, use the options to the left.
No optional software updates for your computer are available. To select
other updates, use the options to the left.

How to restart the update?

Thanks for helping :-)
