Search Slow; Loops; Wrong tags - uninstalled desktop all works.. malbers 5/22/2007 8:51:01 PM Hi, I've been having some serious search problems, I often use the "search tagged notes" to retrieve action items. Problems I've had are: 1) very slow search 2) Tagged notes references are wrong, click on one, get another. 3) Recently started having loops. Endlessly see the same tagged notes scrolling when finding all tagged notes.. On several ocassions, I've rebuild the onenote indexes. I've removed them, I've re-indexed using Desktop search no dice. until.. I just removed desktop search altogether and everything is dandy, instantly. What gives?

Make sure you have all the latest updates for it, and even then performances will vary. If you are using it just for OneNote, and not doing audio transcriptions, etc. then I would suggest not using it, relying instead on OneNote's own mechanisms. (/.02>
