VBA (2720) error: VBA6.msi missing
Colleen M 4/26/2007 3:24:01 AM
When I double click on an Excel spreadsheet in Word, or on a Chart in
Powerpoint, I receive a VBA (2720) error as my system is looking for a
missing VBA6.msi file. This has happened since I uninstalled Office 2007 and
Office 2002 from my PC. Office Professional 2003 is installed and Vision
2002. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both of these. Have tried to
go through the Change process to select and install the VBA files and still
no luck.

Does anyone have any suggestions how I can fix this?

I found the answer in Peter Foldes' reply to Extracampine re "Problem with
Office Repeatedly Trying to Install". Per KB290301, I downloaded and ran the
utility provided and the problem appears to have cleared up.

I should have said that the problem was fixed by removing the reference to
VBA (2720) in the list of programs.
