Scratches on CD
flower 4/14/2007 2:42:02 PM
I have a Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 cd and used it to
reinstall the software on a computer. However, during the installation
process, scratches appeared on the cd when taking the cd out, and the
installation process could not be completed. The product is a geniune
Microsoft product. Is there any way i could get a replacement cd or download,
so that i could install the software? I live in the uk and read that there
are replacement cds available in the us and canada. Any help will be greatly
appreciated.

The first thing I would do is to try toothpaste. Seriously.
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/77 (Gouges are a different story.) It
isn't going to hurt to try.

If that doesn't work...did you get Office with a computer or did you buy it
separately?
