Office 2003 Student Edition Reinstall

I had to reinstall comlete PC because the MB failed and had to be replaced.
Win XP was no problem, reset the activation by phone. Office 2003SE activated
without problems, and here lies the problem. The program comes with a licence
to install it on three different computers. I believe it it just used a
second machine activation, so it leaves me with only one more different
activation, instead of two.
Is there a way to tell the system that it is still installed on only one PC
instead of two?

The Licence is for x number of PC's not x number of installs / activation's
ie you can install/activate as many times as you wish so long as it is not
installed, at any one time, on more PC's than the licence permits.
You may have to use phone activation method, if online fails.
