importing video to Windows Movie Maker

Can someone please help me with this.

I have a Sony Vaio laptop with Vista 64 and I'm trying trying to import
video. I originally tried Sony Vegas 9.0, but this would crash Vista. I
then tried VMM with the same result.

I am connecting a Cannon ZR930 mini DV camcorder via firewire. The laptop
I'm using has a built-in webcam that I can import video from, but once I try
the Cannon I get a blue screen once I click import.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, but this newsgroup is for questions about interacting with external
data files using Access, the database product that's part of Office
Professional.

You'd be best off reposting to a newsgroup related to Movie Maker, such as
microsoft.public.windows.vista.music_pictures_video

I have to admit I don't know whether Microsoft's web interface (which you're
obviously using) has a specific link to that newsgroup. If not, you may have
to use http://groups.google.com or a proper newsgroup reader (point it to
msnews.microsoft.com for free access to all of the Microsoft-related
newsgroups)
