Word and Internet Access

Hi,

I note in my firewall settings that Word has full access to the
Internet.

My questions is: 'Does Word need access to the Internet? I thought
that it processes and prints from the pc?'

Thanks

It needs access to the Internet only (a) to access all the Help available
(there's a limited amount actually stored on your PC) and/or (b) to send
error reports (if you allow them) or to send usage reports if you have
signed on to the CEIP feature. And of course to allow you to click Web URLs
in documents, access online clip art, and so on.
