BCM 2007: changes not replicating right away
jalalabadass 3/2/2007 3:58:05 AM
One of my clients is reporting that users of BCM 2007 are not seeing changes
made by other users right away. I've got the database on an SBS 2003 server
and all clients are running XP Pro SP2 and Office Pro Plus 2007. I assumed
that all data is changed in real time.

Does anyone know how often Outlook polls the database and updates the view.
Any information would be helpful.

Thanks,

I think someone mentioned a while back that BCM polls once per second,
and then if there aren't any changes after a certain number of polls,
it increases the time interval between polls. I know that some data is
expected to change on screen if it gets updated (e.g. in a folder
view) while it won't be changed by polling in other places, like
forms. I believe that if you open a form, the data won't be updated on
the form, so that what you typed in won't change before you have a
chance to save it.
