Side Note Back to Side Note
DaveZ 3/29/2007 7:24:03 PM
Once I close a Side Note in ON 2007 and it goes to the Unfiled Notes area I
seem to be unable to get it back into the floating side note format. I know
how to open it into a separate window and put it "always on top", but it is
not in the nice compressed window that it had before. Can I take the note
back to side note format?
Thanks

The SideNote interface is the same as the Full Page view interface, with
the difference being that it is maximized by default.

You can turn any page (even those pages not in Unfiled Notes) into a
SideNote interface by navigating to that page, then pressing F11, and
then double-clicking the Title Bar or clicking the Restore Down button.

As an alternative, the rest of the Notebook layout is still present in
SideNote view, if not visible. You can use the KB shortcuts (Ctrl-PgUp
and Ctrl-PgDn in this case) to switch to a previously created Side Note.
The downside is that each time you do this, it creates a new page in the
UFN Section which must be deleted, etc.
