Here is my list of things that really need to be fixed in the first service pack for OneNote 2007. Please only add things to this list that are really bugs in this current version that would be appropriate to fix in a service pack. There is no point in requesting new features in a service pack.
1) Printing cuts things in half.
2) Floating TIP button doesn't always appear. This occurs most often when you first place the cursor into a paragraph or when you create a new paragraph. Moving the scroll bar will cause the TIP to appear but sometimes you don't have a scroll bar to move.
3) List of section groups and sections that appears when you click the "Expand Navigation Bar" button is stuck at the same set of expanded and collapsed items. Some items are collapsed but most are fully expanded. No matter how many times I collapse all those expanded items they come right back the next time I look at the list. This exceedingly long list with such a small amount of indentation and no lines to show parentage makes it very difficult to navigate this list. It is almost worthless because of this one bug.
4) Clicking web links always uses Internet Explorer regardless of default browser setting. I realize this may not happen to everyone but I am convinced it is a "bug" in OneNote as it doesn't happen with any other software.
5) Clicking hyperlinks to other OneNote items that are in notebooks which are already opened still causes OneNote to ask you if you want to open the section or the notebook. It then opens that section separately even though it is already opened rather than just jumping to the page or paragraph.
These are the main bugs that I can find which never should have gotten past the beta. Some I reported while still in beta but were never fixed. Some, unfortunately, are new to the RTM version. Numbers 4 & 5 only showed up after I entered the registration key into the trial version to register it. That is pretty sad.
