Can I password protect an entire folder on my server?

I have PDF docs in a folder on my server. I cannot seem to password protect
the documents, so I am looking for a way to force a password for entry into
the folder.

You can, but this Word newgroup is the wrong place to ask, because it's a
function of Windows and not of any individual program.

Hint: Right-click the folder in Windows Explorer and choose "Sharing and
Security", and then the Security tab.
