Error Message with Reports
ivanjay 3/28/2007 12:54:40 AM
Hi all,

I just installed BCM on my laptop which access Exchange 2003 through my
company server. When I click on Business Tools and any report the following
error pops up in a messagebox:

"The report could not be generated. Please try again."

Any ideas on how to resolve? It is not too useful if I cant print any of
the reports.

Thanks!

ivanjay,

There is currently a separate thread going on with the same reporting issue.
Before we continue, can you confirm with me that you are running Windows
with latest patch, and Office 2003 with latest patch + BCM with SP3
(2.0.5324.0)?

Thanks,

I always make sure to stay current with Microsoft Update so I know my Windows
software is up to date. As far as Outlook goes I clicked on Help and About
in Outlook and it states I am running Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 with
Business Contact Manager Update SP2

However my version is listed as 2.00.5324.00 which matches what you had said.

Hi

Can you try doing a reinstall of BCM from add / remove program.

Also can you tell me how you install BCM v2? was it a download

or you got it along with the Office 2003 Package?

I got it fixed. I found another thread with the workaround!

Thanks

MSFT should really get a patch going for that....
