Outlook doesn't function with BCM installed...
Massieus 2/6/2007 11:40:01 PM
Hello...

I cannot get Outlook 2007 (trial) to function with BCM installed and the add
in running. Everytime I install it and complete the setup and it says
everything is fine. However, if I close Outlook and restart it or reboot my
machine and restart it, I get a message stating:

Outlook experienced a serious problem with the 'business contact manager for
outlook' add-in. If you have seen this message multiple times, you should
disable this add-in and check to see if an update is available. Do you want
to disable this add-in?

If I click yes, then Outlook functions fine with no glitches. If I click no
then Outlook closes, and then when I restart it I get the same message. I've
check for the updates, and I downloaded both part 1 and part 2 of the trial
download. I do not know what else to do. I only know that it is BCM that I
am most interested in and it is BCM I'm unable to use.

You might first check your list of programs to make sure that the correct
version of Business Contact Manager is installed. In Windows XP, click
"Start | Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs" and look for an entry
titled "Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2007".

If this is correct, then click Start | Run and type eventvwr and click OK to
see the Windows Event Viewer. Click on the "Application" folder to see what
errors or warnings are listed. You can double-click on an error to copy the
details. Do you see any errors that mention Outlook or Business Contact
Manager?

Thanks for sharing this error information. Could you look to see if there is an event just before or after this one with a bucket
number or any other related details?
