activation key for office 2007 trial
Mana 5/20/2007 10:56:00 PM
I recently got a new laptop with Office 2007 preinstalled. When I try to get
an activation key from the Activation Assistant, I get a message saying "The
Microsoft Office Activation Assistant was unable to detect a 2007 Microsoft
Office release." I also tried to request an activation key online (I live in
Canada) but I get "invalid or missing county" so the request doesn't go
through. Is there any way for me to activate my free trial?

Didn't the OEM include a key with the paperwork?

I've looked a couple of times and can't find anything.

I just bought a new Vist laptop and it said the same thing except that it was
home and student 2007, but it kept telling me that my key (which I got from
the bottom of the laptop) was invalid, then my computer went nuts, i
uninstaalled it, which is what HP told me to do and I went on the microsoft
website and downloaded office 2007 but, now I can not find it anywhere.

The sticker on the bottom of your laptop is probably for Windows, not
Office.
