New DVD error message
Fleming <thirdact[ at ]gmail.com> 5/7/2007 3:16:09 PM
I've never had problems playing DVDs before... but this morning all of
a sudden I get an error message saying WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER CANNOT
PLAY THE DVD BECAUSE A COMPATIBLE DVD DECODER IS NOT INSTALLED ON THE
COMPUTER. When I try explore the issue more, I'm directed to a place
where I can pay 14.95 or so for a decoder. Any idea what's going on
here?

TIA.

I don't believe this has anything to do with Microsoft Office setup. Try
one of the Windows or Windows Media newsgroups or communities for
assistance.
