Non-Volume Office 2007 downgrade
Tammie 4/4/2007 7:18:02 PM
We purchased 2 Microsoft Office Profession 2007 and 4 Office Basic 2007.
These are OEM and are not volume licenses. Can I downgrade these to 2003?
And if so where do I get the information about how?

Hi Tammie,

You may want to phone the MS licensing folks http://microsoft.com/licensing but generally downgrade capabilities aren't available
for retail or OEM products. OEM products are intended for sale preinstalled on new PCs, so that can complicate things a bit
further. Once activated an OEM Office product is tied to that machine (non transferable)

Retail Office 2007 products have a 45 day return policy to Microsoft. OEM product returns are basically up to the OEM provider.

Office 2003 products are still available (while the supply lasts) from store and online retailers.
