Office 2007/Vista setup problem
"Stan" <netsunset[ at ]nospamgmail.com> 4/3/2007 10:47:17 PM
Hi,
I have a problem with Office 2007.
After installing the product, each time I want to use Word, I get an office
installation/setup window (trying to translate the french message). That
happens with every Office products (word, excel, ppt,etc...).
It's like if Office can't be save the configuration..

So my question is how to find an issue for this problem.
Of course, I had uninstalled serveral times Office, but I still get the same
problem.

Is there an utility that would be able to remove all Office files and keys ?

Thanks for your help

Stan

Hi, Stan,

Do you have other versions of Office still installed on your system? That
can happen if you switch between versions.

There isn't a utility to remove files and registry entries for Office;
however, there is a utility that removes Windows Installer information
related to Office. Try the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, and remove
references to the Office programs you no longer need. Then re-install
Office and see if that does the trick.

Yes, I had another version which gave me same problem after removing the
trial version.
I used this utility and I re install Office, the same thing happens.
If you have another solution :-)

When you ran the utility, did you remove all references to all Office
versions?

Are you installing as an administrator?

Susan

Yes I removed all references to office.
And I also ran as Administrator the installation.

I will retry to remove and re install again

Perhaps that will work--if not, you may need to contact Product Support to
get assistance with the installation. Please post back wtih your results.
