Word 2007 margin problems
"Lex" <u34639[ at ]uwe> 5/30/2007 7:04:48 PM
I just updated to Word 2007 and when finished typing I turn my word docs in
and then they are to get converted to WP 5.1 is this compatible or possible.
Also while typign my margins need to be set at 1" but when I go to tab and
turn my work in it is moving my margins where I had tabs.

For example

AdvLft 1"

L/R margin: 2", 1"

Any ideas for this? Am I supposed to change the style set of what I am
typing in?

Thank you.

I would have thought that the chances of converting a Word 2007 document to
WP 5.1 format without formatting changes would be pretty slim. You might do
better saving the documents from Word 2007 in Word 97-2003 format - or even
directly to WP5.1 format, which I believe is still an option.

I have tried saving directly to WP5.1 format and it states that "Word cannot
save WP 5.1 for DOS files. The converter for this format can only open
files". Is there a way to change this? Or how exactly do I save in Word 97-
2003 format, do I just change the margins to that version and the style
change and that is it? Thanks for the help.

Many of the old filters were disabled a while back. This appears to be
another that has lost functionality :(
Save as Word 97-2003 document is one of the standard save as options in Word
2007.
RTF format is even more universal and works!
