Advanced filter "value field" not available in Outlook Business Contact Mngr Sign out of Windows Live ID | Edit my Profile | Help Search For: In: Massimo Pioli 3/21/2007 11:57 AM PST Question We are using BCM release 3.00.5028.00 for Office Outlook 2007 in Italian language. When we choose to build a Search Folder and tab to Advanced, the field which should contain matching values is missing! The only possibility in order to filter is to use empty or not emtpy because those operators do not need any input in that field. Does anybody has an answer?? Was this post helpful to you? Thank you for contacting us. Can you provide us with further information on this issue? What is the BCM object (account, business contact, opportunity, etc.) that you want to create your search folder on? Which specific field, if any, are you having trouble with? With sufficient information I may be ablet to find the proper person to answer your question.
Thanks, -- John Huang [MSFT]

Was this post helpful to you? Reply | Print post TopTop Massimo Pioli 3/22/2007 6:04 AM PST Hi John, the "missing" value field is for every kind of BCM object we try to create a search folder on. We simply click on "Search Folder", we define a name and click on Filter/Advanced Filter. We open the "field name" dropdown, choose any item, open the Criteria dropdown, select an item wich should require a value and the valued field is missinig. This field is missing since the form is open: I'm meaning that, as soon as we select the "Advanced" Tab is seems that the necessary control is not drawn on the form (instead of all the other wich are conditionally grayed out). Le me know if you have enought details. Thanking you in advance, Best Regards!

Hi, I have the same problem with my customers and Italian version of BCM. When the bug will be resolved? There is a temporary work around to avoid this problem?
Regards, Roberto
