Mail merge question - cell count in error message
standard_guy 12/15/2008 6:57:01 PM
I have a coworker trying to do a mail merge using an Excel file for her data.
She says she gets an error message to the effect that it couldn't be
completed due to a calculation error in cell 7420. Does it count the cells
across, then down or vice versa? To further complicate matters I don't think
she has that many cells in her data.

Thanks.

Ask her to select just the range of cells to be merged, copy, then paste into a
new workbook. Then test linking the mail merge to that - just to see if it makes
a difference.

If it does, it's probably simplest to go with a new workbook, if that's at all
possible. If not, would a new worksheet in the existing workbook be an option?
