Unified Notes
Coach Cook 10/20/2008 9:36:01 PM
After inadvertently moving the section within Unified Notes to another
Notebook, I cannot restore that section or documents to the Unified Notes
Section. I can see the file in both My Documents and my sync file (root
directory for OneNote), and I can open it under Misplaced Sections. How do I
restore that Section to Unified Notes?

Move the Section that you want to contain UFN back to the desired location,
and then go to Tools | Options | Save and change the path of Unfiled Notes
to this location. All new items which are configured to go to Unfiled
Notes will now go to the Section you speficy here.

Can you see the Section in "Misplaced Sections"?
Right click the wandering section, select Move... from the menu and select
the Unfiled Notes notebook.

David,
When I do as you suggested, the Unfiled Notes Section does not appear as an
option to move any of the Misplaced Sections.

Can you close the "misplaced sections"?

If so, you might try the following:
0.) Close the sections
1.) Close ON
2.) Rename the "Unfiled Notes.one" file (possibly to "unfiled one").
3. Re-open ON.
You should have an empty "Unfiled Notes" "folder" in ON.
4.) Open the renamed file.

You should the be able to move the pages of the renamed to new "Unfiled
Notes" folder.

Thanks for what I am taking as a success report.

Am I right in assuming that the problem is solved now?

De nada.
That's what we are here for ;-)
