office 2007 uninstalled, but cannot install new 2007 christos 4/6/2007 9:20:00 PM I had the beta of 2007 on my pc here, and once downloaded a patch released for it. I got a copy from work of the full version, but it refuses to install. "Setup is unable to proceed due to the following error(s): The 2007 Microsoft Office system does not support upgrading from a prerelease version of the 2007 Microsoft Office system. You must first uninstall any prerelease versions of the 2007 Microsoft Office system products and associated technologies. Correct the issue(s) listed above and re-run setup. " What I did was uninstall it from my control panel, then I rebooted my system before trying to install it, but I still get this same error. I went here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927222 But I cannot find any of these extra things anywhere in my control panel. Also, http://office.microsoft.com is 404'ing when I tried to access it just now. (Fyi in case an MS person reads this thread) Thanks for any help!
