I had to replace a HD & reinstall OS, all software, etc.
When trying to reinstall my (OEM) version of Office 2003 Basic, it will get
to the point where it says:
Current Action
Waiting for cabinets to be cached to local installation source
File: EV561406.CAB
Then another box opens that says:
Installation Error: File could not be found
A required installation file EV561406.CAB could not be found
It them asks for the cd to be inserted (it is!) or to point to the network
installation files.
I have tried using different copies of Office, trying another CD ROM drive,
copying the CD to the local HD & running install &
keep getting the same results!!!
Machine is part of a Win2k AD Domain & user acct is part of local Admin
group, although I have tried installing as Admin & same results.
Why is this happening & how can I fix it?!?!?
