Office 2007 retail version included in Action Pack?
Tone 2/27/2007 1:38:28 PM
Has anyone been able to run the Office Customization Tool as I am getting the
following error when running setup.exe /admin from my network installation
point.

"Files necessary to run the Office Customization Tool were not found. Run
Setup from the installation point of a qualifying product"

This error should only appear when running the Office Customization Tool
from a retail version, has the correct version been shipped?

DVD Part no. X13-35827 EN Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007

Thanks

Hi Tone,

The licenses in the MS Partner Action Pack subscription are retail ones. The Office Customization tool requires a combination of
Enterprise edition and Volume License product key.

Hi Tone,

You need *both* an Enterprise Edition *and* a Volume License Key.
The keys are retail in the retail subscriptions.

Hi Bob,

Just got around to installing the product and it is the Enterprise edition,
if you run setup.exe /admin shouldnt it just launch the Office Customization
Tool.

I am a bit puzzled as to how setup.exe can know what key have?

Thanks,

Using Procmon it would seem setup.exe /admin is looking for these files and
cannot find them whereas these files are not used by setup.exe in normal mode.

Bob,

Had chance to compare media today and it pretty much what you said except
the Action Pack Key works with the proper Enterprise Media.

The Action Pack is missing the \admin folder and has r (retail?) suffix on
these files\folders..
\Enterpriser.WW
\Enterpriser.WW\EnterpriserWW.msi
\Enterpriser.WW\EnterpriserWW.xml

Enterprise media,
\Admin
\Enterprise.WW
\Enterprise.WW\EnterpriseWW.msi
\Enterprise.WW\EnterpriseWW.xml

Maps adviced me to raise a pay support call, lol.
