Outlook Business Contact Manager

How do I import ACT! 8.0 database files into Business Contact Manager? My
version of ACT! is not available on the conversion list. And, my version of
ACT!8.0 will not allow me to export as an excel file

Hi Carol k,

I am not sure what options are out there for act! 8 export, but if you have
an option to export your Act! data as a comma separated value file, or csv,
you can import that into bcm. Or, if act! 8 can export it to a previous
version of act!.

Carol:

What we've seen is that BCM will import an ACT! 7, 8, or 9 database but
you've got to have both ACT! and BCM on the same PC, and the version of ACT!
and the ACT! database have to be the same version. There were some bugs in
ACT! where your db schema was a different version than the software. You
can use ACTDIAG to check all that out.

HTH,
Lon

Where do I find ACTDIAG to run that? I do have both programs installed on my
PC.

Look in the folder where ACT! is installed -- usually \Program Files\ACT.
It's called ACTDIAG.EXE... Or, you could search your hard drive for it.
