Easiest way I have found:
Open PPT 2007 and then drag or maximize across both monitors. Once it has been done open the two files within PPT. Click View tab on ribbon and then Arrange All. The currently selected file will appear on the left monitor and the non-current one will appear on the right monitor. You may have to tweak the size some especially if the two monitors are not the same size or resolution.
