Can I convert a section into a Notebook?

No. But if you create a blank notebook, you can drag the section to that
notebook by clicking the tab and dragging it to the new notebook. Once it is
there, you can use the same process to split the section into multiple
sections. (Create the new sections, name them, drag the pages to the section
you want them.)

What did you want to happen? Create a new notebook with just one section in
it? A new notebook and a new section per page in the orginial section?
