built-in auto-backup function
gpzbc 12/10/2008 3:57:01 PM
I am trying to understand the ON 2007 auto-backup function. I have mine set
to backup every 12 hours to a server.
Does ON have to be open for this backup to occur?
Thanks!

Yes it does. The built-in backup function merely copies all Section files
to the specified location and renames with a timestamp from the date the
backup was made.

If you or your IT department are already backing up the data on that
server, then you don't necessarily need the built-in backup function.
