Cannot import ACT data
Arthur Priver 5/4/2007 5:07:01 PM
When I try to import data into BCM 2003 from ACT 2005, there is a message

ACT! must be installed to use this adapter.

ACT is installed and running on this computer. Is there a way around this
problem? Also, when I have imported the data, how do I share a calendar with
another user (in an SBS 2003 environment)? Thanks.

Arthur:

BCM 2003 doesn't support importing from ACT! 2005, just ACT! 6.0 and prior.
If you upgrade to BCM 2007, you can do this. You'll get lots more out of
BCM 2007 than 2003 also!!!

HTH,
Lon

Sharing a Calendar will have to be done via some Outlook solution.
Most users share Calendars with Exchange.

Although BCM will store some information about Appointments with BCM
contacts, and that can be shared as part of sharing the BCM contact,
BCM is not involved in managing the Outlook Calendar items themselves.
