Editing protection

Is there functionality within onenote to protect documents from editing, i.e.
accidently erasing an important line, etc? I've tried workspace and shared
notebooks, but can't find a way to prompt to make changes.
Thanks!

That feature doesn't exist in OneNote. The assumption is that if a person
has been granted access to a Notebook, that person is allowed to work on
all of the data contained in it.
