Onenote to Word - Outline Styles
AEngineer 10/19/2008 1:43:01 PM
I've been trying to transfer text from OneNote (2007) to Word (2007) and have
the outlining in OneNote show up as outlining in word.

Visually the text comes across nicely indented, but it doesn't have styles.
I've tried:
- Copy and paste
- Send to Word
- Save as Word

Non of these produces outlined documents in word.

Does anyone of have a way to pull info from OneNote into word so that the
outline structure exisits in word's Outline view?

I was just able to do so by the following steps:

- Select the page I want to move to Word
- Click on File, Save As
- Choose "Microsoft Office Word XML Document (.docx)" which is
the format for Word 2007
- Select the option for saving selected pages only

....and then save the file. You won't get the little icons for the
tags, but you'll get the indenting, bullets, etc.

I just tried it as I wrote this message, and it worked fine.
