BCM 2007 Export/Import not retain full history
Samvnw51 4/18/2007 5:58:01 PM
I have a BCM account that has history going back 1 month including emails and
business notes.
I export to a BCM file using all the default settings (Full history etc).
Then I connect to a new empty db and import from the BCM file using the
default settings. When I look at the the Account history it is missing most
of the items that were present prior to the export/import.
This issue makes it very difficult to switch to a different db.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Do you see a pattern for missing items? Are mainly emails or business notes
missing? What is the date for the missing items (for example missing ones
are older than 2 weeks etc)? Are they also assigned to another record?
Or are they just randomly missing?

Good question: It does seem to be related to a cutoff date. Since I posted
this,i've been snooping around and believe that the problem is in the export
function. I don't think the full history is getting exported to the bcm file.
If it would be of any help I could send you a screen shot of the history
along with an exported bcm file to look at.

None of the itema are linked to more than one object.

Thanks.
