Change default settings?
pederb 2/12/2007 7:36:00 PM
How do I change the default setting in Contact view? I want it to sort first
by Company, then by First name, then Last name and last State. I have changed
the settings over and over again but it does not save it. I search for
company name 75% of the time and every time I have change the settings unless
I keep Outlook open all the time.

Please advise, I really want to get rid of my ACT.

Peder:

Did you change the settings by using Customize Current View or by clicking
on the column headings? I would recommend using Customize Current View --
that should do it. If you are doing that and the settings aren't sticking,
then there is a deeper problem going on that the BCM Team may be able to
troubleshoot.

HTH,
Lon

Try creating a new view by copying the current view. From the main Outlook
window, select "View | Current View | Define Views..." Then click "Copy..."
and assign the view a name. Click "Modify..." to change the view settings.
Once you have modified the view, click "Apply View" to make this the current
view.

That only give me the options to change my mail settings not my contacts, or
I'm I doing something wrong?

Make sure you are viewing your Business Contacts before clicking the "View" menu. Do you see a list of Contact views that you can
create or modify?
