I use BCM and Accounting Professional 2007. I have so far been fairly happy except for a few things that I think BCM and MOA needs. I can't believe that no one has posted anything on here yet.
1. I do most everything in BCM-create invoices, categorize my clients, track sales etc. Because BCM is 'hosted' on my office 'server' computer, my laptap can't see ANY financial info when I'm not connected. to my local area network. Besides a VPN, isn't there SOME WAY to have this info remain as a part of history and then update again next time I connect to my network?
2. (And the most disappointing): I keep my clients VERY organized. I went to run a Q1 report in Accounting the first week of April (now remember, this software just came out first quarter, I was using Quickbooks prior to this), and when I went to run a report on a 'group' in MOA, there was no association to BCM at all.. categories or any other field.
For those of you using MOA and BCM, don't you think there SHOULD BE A FIELD IN BCM that will populate in Accounting so we can run reports based on a certain criteria??? I called both BCM and MOA help and there isn't they said. I would THINK for those of us that use BCM to create contacts and Accounts, the ACCOUNTS that are populated in MOA should have AT LEAST ONE CUSTOMIZABLE FIELD that links the two programs for scenarios like this. I wanted to see some financial on a particular group in MOA, but seeing as those 'customers' in MOA were 'created' by BCM ACCOUNTS, there wasn't any way to track specific data.
3. And finally: WHY oh WHY isn't there a way to print ONE LABEL, from either the contacts or account screen? I downloaded a trial of Alladin label software and while it seems to work OK, if you want to print one sheet of the same labels or one label at a time only. I want to just open a contact, and be able to PRINT A LABEL. I'd prefer to be prompted as to what kind of label I want to print. I mail samples out to clients at the end of the day and just want to quickly print sometimes 10-20 labels, all different, directly from the CONTACT. I want them printed on Avery labels (where there are 6 on a page), and have each one be a different client. I basically want to 'search' for the contact, open it and print. The software SHOULD ask me what label I want to print on: for example: Top Right, Top Left, Middle Left Middle right.. etc....No such luck.
Unless I'm missing something, please advise.

Adam,
In my opinion your thoughts are about Office Accounting integration (or lack thereof) are right on. As for your label printing lament, here is a possible workaround solution that could work for you. Go to: http://microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0209818 These individual printers work very well for what you are describing.

Hi there THP, Thanks for the info. I checked out the Dymo thing. I got excited for a few minutes, but it only prints in B&W. Our logo (2 color) is on the labels as the return address. I called them and they can create a roll with our logo and 2 colors, but it's about $700. I can spring for that for something as simple as labels!! And then have to pay for the unit on top of that though! Hey, thanks though, I do appreciate your comments! I would think MS would have built something like this into BCM... maybe someday!
