Various re when switching computer on
NPA 6/16/2007 11:14:00 AM
Hi,

My computer seems to be a bit slow, particularly when starting up - I would
expect to be able to click & almost instantaneously should be able to open
either email (OE6), IE etc. I had my hard drive reformatted to try to cure
this but it still runs a little too slow for my liking. I have run msconfig
on the start/run setting & have only 2 progs now running when starting up -
the computer is still too slow.

Any ideas?

I ran PCPitstop & it says to reduce my cache size from c2500 to 100 - what
does this mean? Would this improve the speed? Would it have other
implications?

When I ran msconfig I now get a message everytime the computer opens saying
I have amended the System Conf & do i want this meaagae to show everytime - I
click No & it still shows everytime - any ideas how I can get rid of this
message once & forall?

Thanks
