Dots between each word in Word and Icon at end of each sentance
Phslagt 12/31/2008 4:37:02 AM
While trying to chage the layout in Word 2003, I click something and now
have a dot between each word and an icon, I think for WYSIWYG, at the end of
each sentance. This is now appears on all old saved documents in, My
Document when I try to send them, and every page I compose. Please Help how
can I reverse this set up?

Have you not noticed that the ¶ symbol at the end of each paragraph also appears
on a toolbar button? Click that (again) to turn it off.

See http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/NonPrintChars.htm for explanation.

You've simply displayed non-printing characters - probably by clicking the ¶
button on the Standard toolbar or by keying Shift+Ctrl+8. For a full
explanation of what they reveal see:

http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/NonPrintChars.htm

Although they certainly don't need to be revealed at all times they are
virtually indispensible for analyzing & revising documents.

If you have an "icon" at the end of each sentence, you seem to be
pressing Enter at the end of each sentence. Don't do that.

(Unless each sentence is supposed to be a separate paragraph.)
