Pasting code into OneNote needs improvement PBar 11/24/2005 4:46:13 PM OneNote could be a very useful tool for making notes when browsing a large codebase, but currently cutting and pasting code typically loses syntax colouring and worst of all changes the indentation structure! This happens even if you use the 'keep original formatting' paste option. As a result I normally use screen captures instead, which cannot be searched. :-( e.g. If I copy code from Visual Studio 2005 to the clipboard and paste into OneNote I lose colours. If I paste into Word and then cut&paste from Word into OneNote then it preserves colours. Cut&Paste from Source Insight loses everything. Both ways tend to turn tabs into strange sublists - but make a real mess. CopySourceAsHTML doesn't work either. When pasted into ON, it pastes nothing (visible at least). Apparently none of the ON developers ever wanted to paste from .net into ON :).
