General usage questions
Passion Pop Princess 11/27/2008 3:11:01 AM
Hi glad you guys exist :)

is there a keyboard shortcut to open a new container whilst in an existing
one?

Can I use the draw function to draw in a container (i suspect not cause i've
tried but maybe i'm not doing it right) so that I can move the text and
drawing together? if not, is there a walk around that someone will share with
me?

I love the concept of one note, great for organising my ideas for
assignments and essay's but its a bit clunky and not too friendly for visual
learners but still better than the death of the rain forests and having to
'revise' notes with every new idea. yay.

Open a new note while in OneNote: Windows+N.

You can draw in OneNote - just right click the menu bar and tick Drawing
Tools.

Moving text and drawing together - OneNote has its limitations in this area
and it is one of the more frequently requested options for the next version.
Search this newsgroup for a variety of solutions and workarounds. Depending
on how demanding your requirements are in this area, you may find the
current functionality sufficient.

thanks for your knowledge on moving text and drawing conainters

Not sure if this is what you want, but you can:

Scroll through pages: Ctrl+PgUp and Ctrl+PgDn

Scroll throught sections: Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+Shift+Tab

Many more exciting shortcuts can be found here:

Doh, it was in around about way, thank you :)
when writing in a container on a page, down arrowing several times will
allow me start a new container. yay.
Thanks again for not leaving me alone in the unknown!

The easiest way IMO is to just click on icon in the lower right corner
of the scroll-bar.
You can then click on the space below the existing container and this
will open a new container.
