Reinstalling Office Professinal 2003
Lester 3/27/2007 11:16:03 PM
I have a problem with all of the Office Programs but when I tried to
reinstall to correct the problem I get the message
There is an instance of setup running and I will have to wait untill it is
completed.
I do not know why setup was active because I have not install anything for
months.
I tried to reboot to end the setup program but it still comes up with the
message.

How do you end an instance of setup?

I'd turn the computer off and go make a cup of tea. then after I was
finished the tea, I'd turn the computer back on and try again.

JoAnn,
Thanks for the reply, but I have rebooted the computer many times but the
same problem continues.
Could there be a problem with the disk?
I am thinking about reformatting the hard drive, as I have some other
problems with the computer also.

If you have all of your disks, etc and you are having other issues, back
your data up and reformat. Let's face it, if it's gonna die, you will at
least have saved your files.
