Microsoft Office 2007

I recently installed a trial version of office 2007. I have been using it for
a couple of weeks and we went and bought a copy of office 2007 home and
student addition. I installed it and it seemed to go smooth. I tried to type
in my product key and it worked, however when I go to the
microsoft.com/genuine to validate my product it says it is not activated. I
want to activate it, but I don't wnat to use an additional license. Have I
already used on of my licenses or not? Is there a way to make this work
without using 2 licenses?

The license is per PC not per activation or reinstall.
Did you uninstall the trial prior to installing from CD?
If not, uninstall, reboot, install from cd
