I have a single BCM database on my SBS 2003 server..., with approx 20 users accessing it.... Everything works fine... The other day I added a couple of new users to the network... I then when into the Share database option within Outlook (BCM section, logged in as administrator who is the owner of the database) and ticked the new users to have access to the exist database... It started to run and then failed saying it could not add the users... I tried this a couple of times and each time it failed... If I then grant the new users "admin" status on the domain they are given access to the database..!!..., soon as I take the admin right away we are back to square one... Can any one tell me what I need to do to get the normal "grant a user access" method working as it is not viable to have our users as admin equiv... Thanks Colin

Not sure what the user's name is or how to add it to the list of users with access. That runs a wizard. One of the wizard pages will ask who you want to share the database with. There will be a button to add a user. Add a user with the same name and password as the user on your second computer. That user will then be able to share the database. The user on the second pc can then create a new Outlook Mail profile, and select the database on the first machine. Or, if they are already using BCM on the second machine, they can change their database (via the BCM menu) to the database on the first machine. The user on the second computer must have a user name and password, otherwise that user is not considered "secure" enough to access BCM. Also, you need to know the name of the first computer with the database. If naming users and machines is new to you, you should seek assistance from someone knowledgeable about these issues. You may run the risk of exposing your machine to unscrupulous persons on the look out for unsecured computers on the internet.
