How do I access old contacts after an OSRI?
EGB 2/5/2007 11:25:00 PM
Had to do a OSRI on Friday. I have found my old pst files and have been able
to get all the old stuff to come up in Outlook except for my Business
Contacts and Accounts. Has anyone successfully dealt with this issue?

I don't know what an OSRI is (Operating System Resonance Imaging?),
but how to get BCM to use your existing database depends on the BCM
version.

With BCM v3/2007, existing databases should show up in pulldown list
of the 1st use wizard.

With BCM v2, you will need to first attach the database to BCM's sql
server instance, and then the database should show up in pulldown list
of the 1st use wizard.

I figures OSRI meant "Operation System Re-Install"? Just a guess... :)

EGB, As you may by now have figured out, BCM stores the contact information
in a SQL database, not in the pst files that Outlook uses. As Luther says,
put the databases back on the disk (attach if V2) and you should be ready to
go.
