upgrading to full version of office jaide_d 10/27/2008 12:10:06 PM i have recently bought a new laptop where the office package was already installed. when i try to upgrade to the full version of office the product key on the bottom of my laptop on the authenticity label will not be accepted. what do i do?

The key on the bottom of the laptop is for Windows, not Office. To upgrade to the full version you will need to purchase a retail copy (unless you previously had a valid version of Office that would qualify for upgrade pricing.) Amazon has been the cheapest source recently for the retail and upgrade products. If you have Works 9 on the new system that does qualify for the upgrade.
