I have designed a custom Meeting Request form. The intent of the form is that the meeting organizer can enter data into the form, that data is used to generate some text that gets inserted the message body (via an add-in) when the user clicks send and the recipients will receive the meeting request. However, when the meeting request is sent, the recipients will see my custom form in the meeting request and in their calendars. I would rather the recipients not see the form and just receive a standard meeting invite. (Actually, I don't want to confuse the recipients by presenting an extra tab in the meeting request that they shouldn't touch and most of all I don't want the "This item contains active content that cannot..." problem.). The meeting organizer will still need access to the form, though (to change meeting the generated text and send an update).
I see two solutions for this: 1. a) Somehow hide my custom tab on the meeting request and calendar items for recipients b) Somehow get rid of the active content issue (I tried this but I didn't work on my first try: http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.outlook.program_forms/browse_thread/thread/2d6f7ea03251fb9b/02b6057844f10aa7?lnk=st&q=+Active+content+in+preview+pane+-+solved)
OR
2. Somehow change the form type in the meeting request and calendar item to the standard Outlook forms
Do either of these approaches sound feasible or is there something else I haven't considered? How would I go about doing this.
Thanks John
