I am guessing, you are using BCM 2007. (If you're using 2003, it will be different.) Example: First Name Last Name ... Lead Joe Smith TRUE Jack Smith FALSE Joe Smith's lead status should be checked in bcm after you import, and Jack Smith's will be unchecked
