Stretching text in a text box
Amy 12/26/2008 7:50:01 PM
When I had used a Printmaster program in the past, I was able to type any
text available into a text box and it would automatically reformat the text
size to fit.

Is there a way to perform the same function in Word -- by using a text box?
(I can do it with WordArt but it creates two or three extra steps and since
this is for a illiterate (on the computer) employee, the less steps the
better.

Not in Word, regular text - even in a shape - can't be treated as an object,
but what you can do is...

Select the Text Box then access the Format Text Box options & check the box
for Resize AutoShape to Fit Text. The box will resize automatically [pretty
much] based on the formatting of the text within. That "may" suit your
need. Note that if you later stretch the box the check will be removed.
