global users using remote desktop connection - databaseread only e

I have three users logging onto a server using remote desktop connection.
They open the access database on the server, which has a sql backend. This
process works fine for one user, but the other two get a database is
read-only error. Any ideas what would cause this? Also, everyone locally can
log into the server and use the database without any problem.

Check the permission settings for the two users that are having
problems. Perhaps they don't have read-write permission on the folder
that has the front-end application. They can quickly test it by
creating a simple text file in that folder, modifying it and deleting
it.

Everyone should be getting thier own copy of the database even if they
are logging onto a Terminal Server system.

Are you saying that I should have multiple copies of the database on the
desktop of the remote terminal, one for each user?

You should have one copy of the database in the
"My Documents" folder of each user. Or in the
Local Applications folder of the My documents folder
of each user.
